"We adopted our sons from Orphanage #2 at the end of April 2003. The building was located in the North West part of Moscow just inside the outer freeway ring.
The building was an older two story with many wings. Surrounding the building were fenced play areas (it seemed one for each group) and a paved sidewalk. The building was old but in good repair and clean. Many coats of paint were evident.
The children were divided up into groups of 12 to 16 children (not by age). Each group had two caregivers and a nurse. Each group was in it's own wing of the building. Each group had a sleeping area, a play and eating room, and a bathroom (each child had his/her own potty chair).
The children seemed very well fed and cared for. The caregivers seemed to love the children and did the very best they could. Each child had his/her on locker to keep their cloths. They each had a pair of shoes for inside and a pair for outside.
The orphanage was very organized and each group had a very strict schedule. The orphanage director was a doctor and a very nice and caring woman. In our view this orphanage was excellent!"
